- Hackenbeck stream originates at the hills above Hackenbeck Tunnel and runs approximately five kilometres north and flows into the River Arle near Ffarquhar Road. It appeared in the annual story Terence Takes a Bath, when a flood threatened to wash the bridge away. Terence is called out to clear a branch out of the rushing river, only to have his caterpillar wheels dragged into the banks.

Day Out with Thomas is a family event that offers children and their grownups the opportunity to ride with classic story book friend Thomas the Tank Engine at heritage railroads nationwide. Parents, grandparents and siblings join their aspiring engineers in the fun. The Day Out with Thomas experience will engineer miles of smiles for the whole family and introduce a new generation to the timeless excitement of railroading.

A ticket for Day Out with Thomas includes the train ride with Thomas the Tank Engine and a variety of Thomas & Friends themed entertainment.
