I don't remember where I found the article, but long story short, Xiaomi removed the PS4 Dualshock driver from the official MIUI channel. So if you want to use remote.

Step 3: Go to PatchWall and Switch it to PS.

  1. Sony PS4 Remote Play is now available for all Android smartphones running on Android 5 Lollipop or the newer version. Here is everything you need to know about the Sony PS4 Remote Play.
  2. PS4 Remote Play is a tool to easily cast everything that happens on your PlayStation directly to your Android or any other screen in your house. With this app, you can enjoy your favorite PlayStation 4 games using a wireless DUALSHOCK device and your Sony account.

Step 4: Set up HDMI outputs. Enter TV 'Patchwall Settings' > 'Advanced Settings'> 'Device Settings' > 'Inputs'

We can see that a number of convenient settings are disabled at the moment. We're turning them all on:

●Managing an external device via HDMI

This setting allows you to control almost all the functions in the PS4 menu directly from the TV remote control (or from your smartphone as a remote). It is smartly called Consumer Electronics Control (CEC). Very convenient. Navigation, selection button, back button - everything works clearly.

● Automatic shutdown of devices when the TV is turned off

Also a useful story. You don't have to turn off the set-top box separately from the joystick, and then turn off the TV remote control. Just turn off the TV and it sends a command to turn off all connected HDMI devices, and PS4 goes off or to sleep depending on the settings.

● Automatically turn on your TV when you turn on your HDMI device

This feature, on the contrary, allows you to turn on the set-top box as well as the TV itself by pressing the PS button on the joystick. It's also good for you, and it works for you too.

● Saving the last signal source when switching on the TV

Well, that's a must-have setting, and it's not necessary for a game console. As a rule, the TV usage scenario is the same, and it is very convenient to load the last selected source at once, whether it is PS, or TV-box, or terrestrial TV, etc. When this setting is turned off, the default lounge (Google/Patchwall) is loaded

Step 5: Setting up 4K+HDR. Go to PS in 'Settings' > 'Sound and screen' > 'Video output settings' > 'Video output information'.

Notice: HDCP 1.4 - similar to HDMI version.

If you find that the TV settings earlier that the HDMI EDID version remains gray and unavailable for editing. There's a suspicion that that's where the right setting is hiding. How do I activate this menu? Try to the follow steps.

Step 1: If the device has been turned on before, first turn it off, then pull out the HDMI

Step 2: Turn off Mi TV.

Step 3: Switch on Mi TV.

Step 4: Go straight to the Mi TV input settings menu. The HDMI EDID menu has become active.

Step 5: Set the rocker switch to the active mode.

Step 6: Plug PS4 into HDMI2

Step 7: Activate PS4.

Step 8: Let's go to PS4 in 'Sound and Screen' > 'Output and Image Settings' > 'Video Output Information'.

Sony has finally added support for all Android devices running Android 5.0 and above for its PS4 Remote Play app. The functionality was this far exclusive to Xperia devices before being expanded to support iOS back in March. The Remote Play app essentially allows you to mirror your PS4 on a phone or tablet over Wi-Fi.

In order to get the feature up and working, you have to update your PS4’s firmware to version 7.00 and set up the Remote Play app on your device of choice (Android 5.0 and up). Then the console and phone/tablet will link over Wi-Fi allowing portable gaming sessions as long as the Wi-Fi connection is stable.

Android 10 and iOS 13 users will have the ability to connect a DualShock 4 controller via Bluetooth for an improved gaming experience. For optimal results, Sony recommends that the PS4 is connected via a LAN cable.
